(1) Young Industrialist Awards of Hongkong 2001 for the Managing Director

The Managing Director of Jing Mei Industrial Ltd., Mr. Chan Wai-man, Raymond has been awarded the "Young Industrialist Awards of Hong Kong 2001" (二零零一年香港青年工業家獎) by the Federation of Hong Kong Industries.

There were nine winners who were conferred with the awards on 2nd November 2001 by a judging panel comprising experienced industrialists and leading academics in Hong Kong. These awards were first launched in 1988 by the Federation of Hong Kong Industries to honour outstanding industrialists for their achievements and contributions to industry in Hong Kong.

(2) Hong Kong Awards for Industry

Jing Mei Industrial Limited has been granted "2001 Trade and Industry Department Certificate of Merit in Quality" (二零零一年工業貿易署品質優異證書). A total of 79 local companies with outstanding achievements were honoured and the awards were presented on 19 November 2001 in the presentation ceremony officiated by the Chief Executive of the HKSAR Government, the Honourable Tung Chee Hwa.

The Hong Kong Awards for Industry is an annual Awards scheme established in 1989 to recognise and encourage excellence as well as to promote successful practices and strategies in different aspects of industrial performance. Co-ordinated by the Hong Kong Productivity Council, the scheme now covers seven award categories, namely, the Consumer Product Design Award, Machinery and Equipment Design Award, Productivity Award, Quality Award, Environmental Performance Award, Export Marketing Award and Technological Achievement Award.

(3) ISO 9001:2000 Accreditation in Hong Kong & Nanshan Offices

Four subsidiaries of Jing Mei Group of Companies have been accredited the ISO 9001:2000 certificate, an international benchmark of Quality Management System, by Det Norske Veritas (DNV) Certification B.V. on 20th December 2001.

The preparatory works contributed by the dedicated teams of staff in both Hong Kong Headquarter and Nanshan (PRC) Mechanical Design Office was a high-adrenalin process. Everyone had to pitch in to ensure the system works. The team efforts have eventually came through with flying colours.

The achievement of the ISO 9001:2000 standard in HK and Nanshan Offices signifying that within the Jing Mei Group of Companies, including the 3 manufacturing plants in Shenzhen and Panyu which are also ISO 9000 accredited, now speak the same language of quality management system that has demonstrated Jing Mei's capability and commitment to surpass our customers' stringent product quality requirements and helped the organization in sustaining her ultimate goal of establishing a culture of continuous improvement and gaining a firmer foothold in the peer industry.
